Trainer Cherie DeVaux announced Wednesday that Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo will not compete in the Preakness. Bob Baffert-trained Crude Velocity, who was then expected to be the favorite after winning the Grade 2 Pat Day Mile during Kentucky Derby Day at Churchill Downs, will also bypass the second leg of the Triple Crown.
The Preakness draw is set for 5 p.m. on Monday, May 11.
