Rich Paul has backed the Milwaukee Bucks to recover strongly despite growing uncertainty around Giannis Antetokounmpo and a disappointing 2025-26 season.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Game Over podcast, Rich Paul offered a positive outlook on Milwaukee’s direction.

“I think the future is very bright in Milwaukee because I think in sports sometimes you get into this space to where you want to stay stagnant for so long with this idea that every year starts over,” Paul said.

The comments come after a difficult campaign in which the Bucks finished 32-50, missing both the playoffs and Play-In Tournament as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.

That downturn has also brought Giannis Antetokounmpo’s long-term future into focus, with questions emerging about the franchise’s next steps.

The situation has already led to significant change, including the decision to move on from head coach Doc Rivers.

“I think it’s an opportunity to hit the reset button, get younger. Because they built a really great foundation in Milwaukee. They have a new arena, a new practice facility, they’ve won a championship.

“So if this was your front yard, you’d dig it up and just soil over, plant some seeds,” Paul added.

Paul’s perspective frames the current struggles as part of a larger transition rather than a long-term decline.

With the infrastructure and past success already in place, the focus now shifts to how effectively Milwaukee can reshape its roster and direction.

As uncertainty around Giannis continues, the Bucks face a defining offseason, one that could determine whether this reset leads to renewed contention or further questions.
