Florida State is a top contender for three-star wide receiver Eli Ferguson, who is considering five schools including Indiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Ferguson cites the strong coaching staff and the sense of brotherhood as key factors in his decision, expected in June.
Florida State didn't make a scholarship offer to 2027 three-star wide receiver Eli Ferguson until January. In that short amount of time, the Seminoles have made significant waves in his recruitment.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder is down to five schools. FSU is joined by Indiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky on that list. A decision from Ferguson is expected in June, Florida State is heavily being considered due to several factors.
“The brotherhood and the work they’re putting into the program stand out,” Ferguson told Rivals. “They’ve got a really strong coaching staff.”
Arkansas is the only contender with an official visit, and that takes place on May 29. The weekend of June 19-21 is the final one for official visits in the summer. FSU undoubtedly needs to work to get one locked in with Ferguson before that deadline hits.
Ferguson isn't listed on Rivals industry rankings. However, he's the No. 984 overall recruit, the No. 119 wide receiver, and the No. 38 prospect in Tennessee per the 247Sports composite rankings.
As a junior in 2025, Ferguson had a productive year. He tallied 30 receptions for 600 yards and four touchdowns for Brentwood Academy High School.
