Glacier Wolfpack softball overcame a 5-0 deficit to defeat Columbia Falls 11-9, with key contributions from Taelor Holt and Karley Allen. The Wolfpack scored three runs in the sixth inning to secure the comeback victory.
Karley Allenās RBI double tied the score in the sixth inning, and two batters later Taelor Holt hit a two-run single that lifted Glacier over Columbia Falls 11-9 in non-conference softball Tuesday at Glacier High School.
Holtās second and third RBIs completed a comeback for the AA Wolfpack (8-3), who trailed 5-0 in the first, 8-6 in the fifth and 9-8 going to their half of the sixth.
The Class A Wildkats (4-3) got four RBIs from Kylie Gjesdal-Davis, including a two-run double in the first. Bella Mann followed with a double, and then Katie Bulawsky hit a two-run homer to center.
An RBI double by Holt and two-run home run by Ava Grady cut Glacierās deficit to 5-3, but the Pack didnāt catch the Kats until the end despite three runs in the sixth.
Alexa Friske singled in a run to put C-Falls up 8-6 in the fourth; Glacier drew even in the fifth thanks to back-to-back doubles by Holt and Grady and a sac fly from Sophia Frederick.
Gjesdal-Davis squeezed home Alexa Friske in the sixth inning for a short-lived 9-8 lead. After the Pack rallied again, Grady threw a scoreless seventh inning, fanning two.

WHITEFISH ā Leah Rusdal hit a two-run home run, Carmen Kohler threw four innings of hitless relief and Libby put away Northwest A rival Whitefish in six innings.
Weslee MacDonaldās two-run single erased a 2-1 Whitefish lead in the third inning, and the Loggers blew the game open with seven runs in the fifth, all after two were out: Tessa Purdy hit a two-run double, Rossi Baney followed with a triple and Rusdal added a two-run double for a 10-2 lead. The game ended early under the mercy rule.
Bently Houston had two hits and scored three times from the leadoff spot for Libby. Purdy also had a triple for the Loggers (4-2).
Baylee Hyland and Elyse Sharpnack drove in runs for Whitefish (0-5-1).
Kohler came on for starter Maddie Willis in the third inning and allowed four walks, hit batter and struck out eight. Willis allowed five hits and a walk in her two innings of work. She struck out two.
The final score was Glacier 11, Columbia Falls 9.
Taelor Holt and Karley Allen were standout players, with Holt driving in crucial runs and Allen tying the game with an RBI double.
