Outside of a disappointing weekend against the Milwaukee Brewers, the New York Yankees have arguably been the best team in Major League Baseball to start the year.

There's a lot to like about this Yankees roster, and the fact that they're getting healthier is a very encouraging sign. If everything goes as most expect over the next few months, the Yankees should be viewed as somewhat heavy favorites in the American League.

Of course, it's still early, but history would suggest that the Yankees are in a very good spot to at least make the World Series. According to the latest, the Yankees, who won 25 of their first 36 games, have reached the postseason 16 times and have even won the World Series 11 times when they've done so.

“This is the 17th time in Yankees history they’ve won at least 25 of their first 36 games.

“They reached the postseason in all 16 previous times, winning 14 American League pennants and 11 World Series titles, according to researcher Katie Sharp,” Bob Nightengale of USA Today wrote.
