A 2026 NFL Draft prospect was arrested in Georgia over the weekend, according to authorities.

Zachariah Branch, a former wide receiver at the University of Georgia, was arrested Sunday, April 19, in Athens, Ga. on two misdemeanor charges, according to the Athens Clarke County arrest log and a police report obtained by NFL Network.

Branch, 22, was cited for misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer and obstructing a public sidewalk. He was booked at 1:26 a.m. and released at 3:44 a.m. local time after posting $39 bond, according to the report.

According to the police report, Branch would not move from the sidewalk, against police officers’ orders.

“I continued to give Zacharia[h] Branch verbal commands to move from blocking the sidewalk and advised that if he did not, he would receive a citation for blocking the sidewalk,” an officer wrote in the report.
