Newcastle United has confirmed six changes to their lineup for the upcoming match against Crystal Palace, including the return of Sandro Tonali and Malick Thiaw. Aaron Ramsdale will start his seventh consecutive game as goalkeeper.
Confirmed line-up: Six changes for Palace clash
Sandro Tonali, Lewis Miley, Malick Thiaw, Tino Livramento, Jacob Murphy and Will Osula all return to the line-up ahead of facing Oliver Glasner's men, who claimed a 3-0 win against Fiorentina in Thursday's UEFA Conference League quarter-final first leg.
Aaron Ramsdale starts his seventh consecutive game in-between the sticks while Thiaw, on target in Newcastle's 2-0 home win against the Eagles in January, lines up alongside Sven Botman in central defence.
Livramento replaces Trippier at right-back while Lewis Hall, nearing a century of Magpies appearances, retains his place at left-back.
Tonali and Miley both return from respective injuries, with the latter set for his Premier League start since January, while Joelinton is also situated in the middle of the park.
Murphy, who captains his boyhood club this afternoon, has five goal involvements in his last four outings against the Eagles. The 31-year-old winger, along with Anthony Gordon, will aim to provide attacking support for Osula, the recipient of March's Premier League Guinness Goal of the Month award.
Howe has a number of attacking options to deploy from the bench if required, including Nick Woltemade, Yoane Wissa and Harvey Barnes, who was on target in United's 5-0 home win against the South London outfit last season.
Anthony Elanga, who netted a first-half brace in United's UEFA Champions League trip to FC Barcelona, is also named on the bench as well as Jacob Ramsey and Joe Willock.
Dan Burn, Kieran Trippier and Nick Pope complete the list of substitutes.
