Flint Town United head of coaching Lee Fowler says his side cannot worry about the "anxiety" of a relegation battle when they play in the JD Welsh Cup final.
The Silkmen â who won the Welsh Cup in 1954 - face Caernarfon Town at Newport's Rodney Parade on Sunday.
But they go into the final with their Cymru Premier status hanging in the balance â they are two points above the relegation zone with one game remaining.
"This game is a one-off game â don't worry about the anxiety of the league," said former Wales U21 international Fowler.
"This is a really good occasion that every one of us should be proud of.
"Maybe this has been at the back of their minds. Now we can fully focus on this game and then we can deal with the league next week."
Flint are away to Cardiff Met in their final game on Saturday, 18 April and they will have to at least match Bala's result at home to Briton Ferry Llansawel on the final day to avoid relegation.
Fowler acknowledges Caernarfon â who have former New Saints players Brad Young and Connor Roberts in their squad - will be favourites for the final.
"They are favourites and they should be â the money they've spent and the players they've brought in," Fowler said.
"It's a huge game for them and they've got to recoup some of that money."
However Fowler, who played in the Premier League for Coventry City at the start of a 21-club career that included Wrexham and Newport County, hopes to turn that to his side's advantage.
"We know we're the underdogs and we know everyone expects Caernarfon to win, which is great because there's no pressure on the players," he added.
"We've just got to enjoy it and the players to be the best version of themselves.
"We know on our day we can beat any team and we've done it."
