This week means everything in the world of Percussion and Winds. The 2026 WGI World Championships are bringing elite ensembles to Dayton, Ohio.
Just last week, Winter Guard International (WGI) hosted the Color Guard World Championships in Dayton, but now it's time for Percussion and Winds to shine. Competition will take place over the course of four days, with Percussion on Thursday and Friday, and Winds on Saturday and Sunday.
Competition classes will feature both scholastic and independent ensembles ranging from Class A (beginner) to World Class (advanced). After months of lead-up and practice, these performances will be top notch.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2026 WGI Percussion and Winds World Championships, including TV channel and streaming options for the annual competition.
The 2026 WGI Percussion and Winds Championships will not be broadcast on traditional television. Instead, fans can stream all the action on FloMarching, which will be covering the entire event.
The Percussion competition will take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 18, while the Winds competition will only be from Saturday to Sunday, April 19. Both portions of competition will generally be from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day, depending on the venue and flow of competition.
The competitions will be held at several different venues around the region, including the University of Dayton Arena, Wright State University's Nutter Center, Cintas Center at Xavier, Truist Arena at Northern Kentucky University and Dayton Convention Center.
