Dodgers arenāt cashing in scoring chances, and arenāt creating them either
Dodgers' offensive woes continue as they fail to score runs and capitalize on chances.
Four-star edge rusher Jayce Brewer has committed to Michigan Football, choosing the Wolverines over Indiana, Tennessee, and Purdue. He cited strong relationships with the coaching staff and a good fit for his development as key reasons for his decision.
After making his commitment on Saturday afternoon, Brewer spoke with On3ās Ethan McDowell ($) to publicly announce why he picked Michigan over his other finalists. āThey said that I fit them well,ā Brewer said. āI was at the top of their board. They wanted me, so I wanted to be there.ā Brewer was recruited by several of Michiganās coaches, including defensive tackles coach Larry Black, defensive ends coach Lewis Powell, defensive coordinator Jay Hill and more. He bonded with all of them, which aided him in his decision. āTheyāre all just great people,ā Brewer said. āFirst, theyāre going to develop you. They have a history of development, but theyāre good people at the same time. Itās not like Iām getting one or the other. Iām getting both. āIt feels great, knowing that Iām at home now.ā Brewer is the second edge rusher to commit to Michiganās 2027 class, joining fellow four-star Recarder Kitchen.
The Wolverines may not be done with taking edge rushers from Indiana in the 2027 class, as three-star Ifeanyi Emedobi is also wanted by the new Michigan coaching staff. The Fort Wayne native was just offered by the Wolverines last week, and now he is hoping to visit Ann Arbor a couples times before making a final decision. Emedobiās interest in Michigan has skyrocketed since receiving the offer, so much so that he replaced Notre Dame with the Wolverines on his official visit schedule. He told ($) he will now take an official visit to Ann Arbor the weekend of June 19 instead of South Bend. McDowell also reported that Emedobiās trip to Notre Dame will not be rescheduled. Before his official visit, Emedobi is hoping to take a quick trip to Ann Arbor to check out the strength and conditioning program. Gaining good weight in college will be important to him since he is still a very slim edge rusher prospect at 6-foot-2 and 214 pounds. Emedobi has other official visits planned for Minnesota (May 29), Penn State (June 5) and Indiana (June 12). He wants to make a commitment decision not long after his final official visit. āItās a great school with a lot of history,ā Emedobi previously told ($). āIām learning about programs as I go. The coaches there that I have spoke with are really high on me and theyāre have a scheme I could really thrive in. āIām excited about them to say the least.ā
Jayce Brewer chose Michigan Football because he felt a strong fit with the program and developed good relationships with the coaching staff, who he believes will help him grow as a player.
Jayce Brewer is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound edge rusher from Indianapolis, Indiana, who is part of the 2027 recruiting class.
Michigan is also targeting three-star edge rusher Ifeanyi Emedobi and three-star linebacker Ethan Hauser for their 2027 recruiting class.
Jayce Brewer's commitment adds depth to Michigan's defensive line and highlights the program's strong recruiting efforts in Indiana.

2027 three-star linebacker Ethan Hauser recently released his top list, and the Wolverines made the cut alongside Texas A&M, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Missouri. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder from Georgia may have those as his final five schools, but he disclosed with Rivalsā Chad Simmons ($) that two schools are at the top. āMichigan and Vanderbilt are the top two,ā he said. āMichigan has the history and legacy. I had a great time up there this spring. My family loved it, I loved it ā itās a place I can see myself. Itās a great stage for me to reach my goal of the NFL too. They are definitely high on my list.ā Hauser will take his official visit to Michigan the weekend of June 19. His decision should come shortly after he takes all his official visits, with Michigan being his last. āI do a lot of prayer when it comes to my decision,ā Hauser said. āI want to go somewhere I feel comfortable, where Iām prioritized and where I can help a team early.ā The Wolverines currently have zero linebackers committed to the 2027 class, but Hauser is among their top targets at the position. Michigan should feel good about its chances of landing Hauser heading into the summer.
