The New York Giants will feature a plethora of new faces across the roster during the 2026 season.
New York established one of the top rookie classes in the league following last weekendās NFL Draft in Pittsburgh. The Giants selected Ohio State standout Arvell Reese with the fifth overall pick and Miami offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa at No. 10.
The team also has several unrestricted free agents awaiting re-signing this offseason. Most notably, quarterback Russell Wilson and offensive guard Greg Van Roten each played key starting roles on the Giantsā offense at the beginning of the 2025 season.
The Giants have not asked either Wilson or Van Roten to re-sign this offseason, which comes as no surprise. Linebackers Neville Hewitt, Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, and Victor Dimukeje also appear headed elsewhere, as New York is expected to let them walk before the 2026 campaign.
Wilson struggled significantly during his time with the Giants. The former quarterback delivered a standout performance of 450 yards and three touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2, but he was ultimately replaced by Jaxon Dart against the Chargers in Week 4.
Van Roten proved to be an extremely reliable lineman, starting all 17 games for the Giants last season. The veteran should have no trouble finding a role with a new team this offseason, as he would make an excellent depth option elsewhere.
The Giants have decided not to re-sign Russell Wilson as they focus on integrating new talent and rebuilding the roster for the 2026 season.
In addition to Russell Wilson, the Giants have not asked offensive guard Greg Van Roten, linebacker Neville Hewitt, Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, and Victor Dimukeje to re-sign.
The Giants' strong rookie class, including top picks Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa, is expected to significantly reshape the team's roster and performance in the 2026 season.
