Alaves defender vows to make life difficult for Barcelona â âWe will sweat bloodâ
Barcelona may have just secured the La Liga title in stunning fashion against Real Madrid, but there is no time to rest.
The Catalans now have their sights set on an extraordinary milestone, with three wins from their remaining three matches needed to reach 100 points for the season.
Their next opponents, Deportivo Alaves, arrive at the Camp Nou in desperate circumstances.
Currently in the relegation zone, Quique Sanchez Floresâ side needs points just as badly as Barcelona want to make history, and one of their most respected voices in the dressing room, Nahuel Tenaglia, is clear about fighting until the very end.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Alaves defender Tenaglia was sure about Deportivo Alavesâ goal, adding that the team will do everything it can to secure at least a point.
âThe team is going to sweat blood against Barcelona, and I think weâre going to pull it off. We have to defend whatâs ours: our pride, our hard work, and our city,â he said (h/t AS).

On the tactical approach, he admitted that the team must defend well and prevent Barcelona from dominating the proceedings.
âWeâll have to play our game, defend the shirt and the badge to the death. We have to give it our all because thatâs the only way weâll have any chance of beating Barça,â he added.
Tenaglia also acknowledged Alavesâ defensive struggles, having failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 20 matches. âThatâs something weâve been trying to fix for weeks,â he admitted.
Despite sitting in the relegation zone, the Argentine defender insists the situation remains in his sideâs hands.
âIt was a point against Elche, and ultimately, we still control our own destiny. If we win the nine remaining points, weâll achieve our goal of staying up,â he concluded.
