When talking about the special teams at Auburn, there is one big question. Will Alex McPherson be back to full strength for his senior season? According to reports during the spring, it appears that will be the case. The health issues that McPherson has suffered the last two seasons has been well documented. During the 2023 season before he was sick, McPherson was perfect going 13 of 13 on field goals. He was also 40 for 40 on extra points.
He only had two attempts during the 2024 season, and was good in 2025 making 20 of 23 kicks. It seems that he now has the power in his kicks back, and that is good news for the Tigers. Auburn has another experienced kicker behind McPherson in Connor Gibbs. He only attempted one field goal last year that was a miss.
