The Chicago Bears have been a team linked to Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby multiple times over the past few months, with some even suggesting that the Bears are the leader for him if he were to get traded.
Unfortunately for Bears fans who want him, that trade has yet to happen, and it sounds like there could be a few factors for that. For one, the failed trade with the Baltimore Ravens definitely raised some eyebrows, and according to the latest, there's some belief that Crosby is going to be the leader once again of the Raiders and do what's needed to help that organization win a Super Bowl.
“Gotham, I’d say there’s a very, very high percentage chance that Maxx Crosby starts the regular season with the Raiders, and I think everyone’s intention is for Crosby to settle back in as a leader and (they hope) an early torchbearer for Klint Kubiak’s new program.
"There’s also the reality that Baltimore’s decision to back out did have a chilling effect on Crosby’s trade value. The Ravens are a well-respected organization, so when they do something that’s so unusual like this, it’s going to reverberate with other teams,” Albert Breer .

If the Raiders eventually believe they need to move on from Crosby, the Bears would certainly be the first team to call. I'm unsure whether Ryan Poles wants to take that big of a risk right now, but I do think it could make sense depending on the price.
