The Toronto Blue Jays' injuries are just beyond unfortunate at this point, something the organization will either have to figure out or let the season go off the rails.
If the Blue Jays don't find a way to get healthy on the mound in the foreseeable future, they can't expect much to go their way over the next few weeks to months until these injuries get figured out. Unfortunately, in the American League East, even a few weeks could have a major impact on what the future of the season looks like.
Looking for ways to fix that, Ethen Hutton proposed a deal with the Minnesota Twins that would send Joe Ryan to Toronto in exchange for Ernie Clement, JoJo Parker, and Arjun Nimmala. This is the type of trade that would make the Blue Jays once again one of the top teams in the American League despite the injuries they're dealing with.

Ryan is coming off arguably the best season of his career and has shown signs of sustained production early this year.
âHe offers tremendous value for Torontoâs bullpen and could play a crucial role in another deep postseason run.â
The interesting part here is that the Twins should be looking to move on from Ryan over the next few months.
It remains uncertain if they want to keep him ahead of the trade deadline and try to move him when multiple contenders are looking for pitching, but if the Blue Jays were to give them an offer that they simply can't refuse, there's reason to believe the deal could work right now.
Toronto might have to overpay for that, but if it keeps its season alive, there's a price to pay for that, unfortunately.
