Cleveland Browns' UDFA Aaron Anderson is pushing for a roster spot in the 2026 season after a strong performance in rookie training camp. The team has also added key players through the draft to bolster their offense.
As the Cleveland Browns continue to navigate through the 2026 NFL offseason, the struggling organization finally has a light at the end of the tunnel heading into the upcoming season.
After a successful draft class for general manager Andrew Berry, which saw the Browns land multiple talented players, Cleveland’s offense under head coach Todd Monken is poised to make great strides next season. The Browns’ most recent draft class includes a new starting left tackle in Utah’s Spencer Fano, along with a pair of young wide receivers in KC Concepcion and Washington’s Denzel Boston.
However, while most of the attention has been focused on the team’s newest offensive weapons from the early rounds of the draft, former LSU wide receiver and Browns’ UDFA Aaron Anderson made a statement throughout the franchise’s rookie training camp in hopes of earning a roster spot by Week One.
Anderson, after spending three seasons with the Tigers, was an underrated prospect in a wide receiver rookie class filled with talent. The dynamic playmaker burst onto the college scene during the 2024 season, finishing with 884 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 61 receptions. His strong play throughout the course of the 2024 season put him on the radar of many NFL scouts, but his draft stock would quickly take a turn for the worse in 2025.
During his final season at LSU, Anderson struggled to command a similar share to his pervious season, resulting in him tallying 398 receiving yards on 33 receptions. His dramatic decline in production was partly due to the instability at the quarterback position for the Tigers, but despite this, he would eventually go undrafted in the most recent cycle.
Luckily for the Browns, Anderson showed plenty of flashes in the team’s rookie minicamp period. Standing at 5-foot-8, 188 lbs., the former SEC pass catcher possesses a solid blend of speed and agility that allows him to be a lethal yards after the catch weapon. And with Monken’s offense usually favoring these types of wide receivers, Anderson could be in the running for a roster spot depending on how well he does the rest of this offseason.

Looking at the current landscape for the Browns’ wide receiver corps heading into the 2026 season, Concepcion, Boston, and veteran Jerry Jeudy remain as the locks to make the roster before Week One. This means Anderson must compete against multiple veterans for a roster spot, including Cedric Tillman, Malachi Corley, and Jamari Thrash.
