Velasquez, 43, is a notable addition because his last MMA fight was a technical knockout loss to Francis Ngannou back in early 2019 — and “The Predator” is competing on May 16 against a fellow UFC veteran. In addition, Velasquez is just a couple of months removed from his prison sentence for his 2022 vigilante shooting.
And if Ngannou, 39, is too busy to pay attention to Velasquez, perhaps Cain can line up another heavyweight staredown with “Bones.”
