Chelseaâs game against Man City in the FA Cup final this weekend is already what weâre all thinking about, and our former coach Glenn Hoddle has some advice on how we might take down Pep Guardiolaâs juggernaut.
âI would say that theyâve got to really sit down with the staff and say to themselves âWhere can we hurt them?â And play a team that suits that. If itâs going to be on the counter, youâre going to need some pace â and maybe pace from midfield, rather than just up front,â Hoddle said.
âBut Chelsea have got individuals, they can still win this game. Theyâve got individuals who could turn it on on any given day, even though theyâre in bad form. A cup final is a cup final. City found it hard last year against Palace, and itâs happened in the past in cup finals. I donât think itâs all negative for Chelsea. Itâs a one-off hit.â
Hoddle also advised Chelsea to not try and sit deep and keep City at bay â probably wise when you consider the standard of our defending of late.
