Chelsea told who to pick and just how to use their midfield to beat Man City

Chelsea have been told to put some pace in their team and try to hit Man City on the counter by a former coach.

Chelsea’s game against Man City in the FA Cup final this weekend is already what we’re all thinking about, and our former coach Glenn Hoddle has some advice on how we might take down Pep Guardiola’s juggernaut.

Chelsea need to use pace in midfield to break up Man City

“I would say that they’ve got to really sit down with the staff and say to themselves ‘Where can we hurt them?’ And play a team that suits that. If it’s going to be on the counter, you’re going to need some pace – and maybe pace from midfield, rather than just up front,” Hoddle said.

“But Chelsea have got individuals, they can still win this game. They’ve got individuals who could turn it on on any given day, even though they’re in bad form. A cup final is a cup final. City found it hard last year against Palace, and it’s happened in the past in cup finals. I don’t think it’s all negative for Chelsea. It’s a one-off hit.”
