One of the Miami Dolphinsâ most interesting hires dishes on how his past experience can help this rebuild â A to Z Sports
âAll five years in Philadelphia, I had such a handle on a lot of different things. I was assistant head coach and then I was part OC throughout my entire time there, and even last year. I was so heavily involved in a lot of things. I think just the experience of going through that from building a program up from (2021) into this past year and obviously theyâll continue to do that. Just seeing what goes into it, right? When you have a new roster, youâre trying to set a new culture in place, youâre trying to set a new offense in place is going through that and what it takes each year to kind of get to that level. You know, we went to two Super Bowls, won two NFC championships. Itâs what goes into that. It takes a lot.â â Miami Dolphins passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo
NFL schedule news: Eagles vs. Jaguars in London â BGN
The NFL is set to officially announce international matchups on Wednesday morning but we have another schedule leak that beat the league to the punch. The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a Week 5 road matchup (note that the Birds are NOT losing a home game) starting at 9:30 AM Eastern on Sunday, October 11.
However, during a four-game stretch from Weeks 7 to 11, proved to be an effective runner in the offense, carrying 17 times for 156 yards in those games, for an average of 9.2 yards per carry. Thereafter, the Eagles just⊠didnât use him in meaningful games. He got 17 carries in garbage time in a blowout of the , and 16 carries in the Week 18 âresting startersâ game against the Commanders. But in the five other games from Week 12 on, Bigsby only got 8 (!) carries, or 1.6 carries per game. On the season, Bigsby carried 58 times for 344 yards and 2 TDs. His 5.9 yards per carry average was almost two yards per carry better than âs 4.1 yards per carry. Had the Eagles used Bigsby more, they probably would have gotten some positive runs out of him, while also keeping Barkleyâs usage down a bit. Everyone likely would have benefited, but, again, for no good reason they just didnât use him. đ€·ââïž Nothing has really changed at running back for the Eagles this offseason, but weâll include Bigsby on this list of players, because, I dunno, maybe Sean Mannion will actually use him in 2026?
Many have said this will be a crossroads season for Jalen Hurts. Some Eagles fans may bristle at that notion, but I think there is some truth to it. There is no denying his resume, with two Super Bowl trips and one Lombardi, as well as being a consistent winner. But players must constantly evolve as defenses learn how to play them and there are always changes on their own team. You have to look forward more than in the rearview mirror. What worked in 2022 and 2024 may not be right for 2026, regardless of who is calling plays. Hurts will be running Sean Mannionâs new offense this season. This scheme will be a version of the McVay/Shanahan offense. It is a QB friendly system. has been MVP and a Super Bowl winner in it. went to the SB in the system. has played well in it. had his best season in a version of the offense. thrived in it. Thatâs a group of different QBs with different skill sets. Hurts is a talented QB. He can make this work, if he buys in fully and really works at it.
Follow along as the Eaglesâ top draft picks in 2024 â , , and â are interviewed throughout their first two years with the team to see how theyâve grown, changed, and developed as players and as young men.
Charle Young, a first-round pick of the Eagles in 1973, has died. He was 75. Young was the sixth overall selection out of USC. After three years with the Eagles, Young played three years with the , three years with the , and three years with the . In Philadelphia, Young was a Pro Bowler all three years. He also was a first-team All-Pro as a rookie, and a second-team All-Pro in 1974 and 1975.
While Stafford deservedly earned plaudits for a career year, the Rams were quietly a historically-efficient rushing attack. McVayâs run game posted a 51.6% success rate, a figure which trailed only his own 2018 offense and the 2022 Eagles for the best marks of the past decade. The Rams averaged nearly 5.0 yards per carry out of 13 personnel and more than 8.0 yards per dropback when Stafford attempted to pass.
âIâm just trying to get to know the guys we have here â from [] to Pop [Douglas] and all these other guys that we have here. But if we were able to get A.J., obviously heâs an incredible talent, somebody I played with. Heâs a true number one receiver in this league, so thatâll be awesome to pair up with him again.â
When Romeo Doubs signed with New England, he was viewed as a replacement for . Doubs presumably would be in line for a larger volume than he saw in âs crowded crew. Then, the A.J. Brown reports picked up steam. While there has been zero confirmation that the are acquiring Brown in a post-June 1 trade from the Philadelphia Eagles, itâs been assumed that the swap will happen eventually. If it does, thatâs fine with Doubs. The fifth-year pro said heâd be happy to play alongside Brown if a trade takes place, even if that means a different role than he initially imagined.
This one also shouldnât come as a surprise, given the nature of âs draft pedigree. Once thought to be a first-round talent, Revel tore his ACL early in his senior year at East Carolina. Concerns over his recovery from such a serious injury led to Revel falling to at 76th overall, in the third round, last year. But the Cowboys gladly took the tall, long cornerback. Revel would make his NFL debut in Week 11, and he got the start two weeks later. The numbers werenât great for him â 67.7% completion rate, 119.7 passer rating, 14 yards per reception, and as many pass breakups (two) as touchdowns allowed â but Revel still wasnât anywhere close to being the worst corner on the field for Matt Eberflus last year. And there were flashes, too, of the player Revel was in college. His size and physicality offer tons of promise, and with another year removed from his ACL tear, Revelâs future feels bright. Add in the long list of defensive backs who have blossomed into stars under Parker and itâs easy to see why Revel should become a starter and key figure in this defense going forward.
The leaks started yesterday for the 2026-27 NFL schedule, and have continued today. News about the Washington Commanders schedule hasnât been flowing, except for rumors about the date of their game in London(October 4th), and their potential opponent(). Weâve got some official leaks from division opponents that could preview a possible Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys set to host the Giants, leaving the Eagles available for the season opener. Weâll know the full schedule before Thursday nightâs official reveal, giving us another two days to speculate on every detail of Washingtonâs lineup.
I think Graziano is on the money here. Having gotten a second top-10 pick after trading to the , I think the Giants felt they had to use one of those two picks to directly help Dart. In Part 1 of the âGiants Lifeâ draft video, we heard Harbaugh say the Giantsâ top two choices were Reese and running back Jeremiyah Love. We have also heard that Mauigoa was a consideration at No. 5. It is clear that the Giants felt Mauigoa was the offensive player available at the time who would help their quarterback the most.
Looking at the strength of schedule for each team â as calculated by their opponentâs combined winning percentage from 2025 â we know that the face the toughest schedule in the league next season. Chicagoâs opponents posted a combined winning percentage of .550 last year. Two other playoff teams face difficult schedules as well, the and the New England Patriots. Green Bayâs 2026 opponents posted a winning percentage of .538 last year (tied for third-toughest) while New Englandâs 2026 opponents posted a combined winning percentage of .531, which ranks the Patriotsâ schedule sixth-toughest in the league. That is also a massive departure from what the Patriots faced last year, as they rode an historically easy schedule to a spot in Super Bowl LX.
