Two Athens-area girls teams remain in the Georgia High School Association soccer playoffs, and they're playing each other for the Class 3A title on Tuesday.

No. 1-seeded Oconee County (21-1) and No. 7-seeded Jefferson (16-2) will face off at Duluth High School on May 12 at 5 p.m.

The Warriors are going for the four-peat, defending their 2023, 2024 and 2025 titles, while the Dragons are looking for redemption after the 2025 finals that led to heartbreak and claim their first title ever.

Oconee County won last year as the lower seed on an early overtime goal by now-sophomore Maddie Cass.

The GHSA Class 3A girls soccer state championship will be held Tuesday, May 12, at 5 p.m. It'll be the first game of the day, with the 3A boys following around 7:30 p.m. between Islands and East Hall.

Where is the GHSA Class 3A girls soccer state championship?

• Location: Duluth High School, 3737 Brock Rd Northwest, Duluth

The GHSA Class 3A girls soccer state championship will be held at Duluth High School in Duluth, Ga. It's roughly one-and-a-half-hours from Athens and Oconee County High School, and roughly one-hour from Jefferson High School.

For best access, the school recommends entering using Abbotts Bridge to School Drive. Handicap parking will be available between the ticket booth and stadium entrance and overflow parking will be available behind Coleman Middle School.

There is a clear bag policy.
