The Atlanta Falcons signed tight end Brandon Frazier as an undrafted free agent. Frazier joins the team alongside another undrafted tight end, Jack Velling, as they prepare for minicamp.
The Atlanta Falcons used the franchise tag to keep tight end Kyle Pitts on the roster for one more season, but they still need to figure whether or not Pitts is going to be a part of their long-term plans. The team signed veteran tight end Austin Hooper to a one-year deal in free agency.
The Falcons did not add any tight ends in the 2026 NFL Draft, but they signed two as undrafted free agents. Thus far, Atlanta has added 16 total undrafted free agents, however, the team has yet to officially announce any of these signings.
Auburn tight end Brandon Frazier and Michigan State tight end Jack Velling will both look to make an impression during minicamp. Continuing with our UDFA profiles, let's take a closer look at Frazier.
Frazier did not have much of an impact as a pass catcher while at Auburn, recording 25 catches for 218 receiving yards and two touchdowns over six seasons (2020-2025). The 6-foot-7, 260-pound tight end has primarily served as a blocking specialist, which is something he does well.
"Frazier is a people-mover who views receiving as a secondary responsibility," wrote Mike Kashuba of FootballGuys.com. "He ran a route less than half as often as he blocked, and he looks like an extra offensive lineman running routes. He's an enormous target with a fantastic catch radius, but his calling card is delivering a powerful blow in the run game and driving his feet through the whistle."
The Falcons already have a blocking specialist at the tight end position in Charlie Woerner. While fans may not hear his name called often, Woerner has been helping open up holes for and the ground game for the last two seasons. Frazier could potentially replace Woerner on the roster if he has a productive camp.
Brandon Frazier is a tight end who signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent.
The Falcons also signed Jack Velling from Michigan State as an undrafted free agent.
Kyle Pitts has been retained by the Falcons using the franchise tag for one more season, but his long-term future with the team remains uncertain.
The Falcons have signed a total of 16 undrafted free agents this year, including Brandon Frazier.
