Tah feels "it makes no sense" for Bayern to adopt defensive approach to beat PSG
Despite conceding five goals in the first-leg in Paris last week, Bayern Munich's Jonathan Tah revealed that his side intend to stick to their guns and play front-foot football tomorrow.
“Generally speaking, our style of play has brought us to where we are now. It makes no sense for us to change anything about it," he said in his press conference before the second-leg.
“We want to play attractive and attacking football. Of course, it's demanding, but that's our style of play and we won't change it,” the central defender explained.
Regarding the game itself, Tah is not one for feeling any nerves. He knows what to expect from PSG and offered his thoughts on how Bayern can cope with their threats.
“I'm really looking forward to this game. You're even more tense and focused. But the anticipation outweighs everything else, especially with the first leg behind us.
It's going to be a lot of fun. It's important to me not to forget why I started playing football – it's about fun and passion.
“Their players move around and switch positions a lot, just like we do. The most important thing is that we are aggressive and get into the challenges.
“We have to win duels and second balls, and do everything to avoid getting countered,” he said, before calling on the fans to generate a “special atmosphere” on Wednesday night.
Jonathan Tah believes that changing their attacking style would be illogical, as their current approach has been successful for the team.
Bayern Munich conceded five goals in the first leg of the match against PSG in Paris.
Tah states that Bayern's style is focused on attractive and attacking football, which they intend to maintain in the upcoming match.
