Andrej Stojakovic proved with the Illinois Fighting Illini that he can be a high-level player in the Big Ten.
Would that lead to entry into the transfer portal? That's what everyone has been waiting to find out.
Turns out, the decision has now been made.
No, Stojakovic isn't transferring. He's returning to Illinois.
College basketball insider Jeff Goodman reported on Friday that Stojakovic won't be going anywhere.
Stojakovic has played his first three college seasons at different schools.
He began at Stanford, then went to Cal, and now played 2025-26 at Illinois.
For the Fighting Illini, Stojakovic averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Ironically, about the only thing he doesn't do well is shoot 3-pointers -- a trait he apparently didn't inherit from his legendary NBA shooter father, Peja.
Otherwise, though, Stojakovic was hugely impactful, especially when he attacked the basket.
Illinois surely had plenty of competition for his potential transfer (even though without Stojakovic entering the portal that all would've been under the table).
Now, though, he's made up his mind. Stojakovic will wear an Illinois uniform again next season, and that's big news for the Final Four squad that will try to return.
