Right before the 2026 NFL Draft, the New York Giantsworked out wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and he even took a physical.
That seemed to indicate the two sides were close to getting something done, but weeks have since passed and Beckham remains a free agent.
On Friday, head coach John Harbaugh met with the media and the subject of the veteran wide receiver came up.
Harbaugh revealed he has spoken to Beckham on multiple occasions in the past week alone, but it remains to be seen if the two sides will ultimately get something done.
"John Harbaugh says he has spoken to Odell Beckham Jr. 3 or 4 times in the past week," the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard shared. "Said OBJ is training in Arizona and they will regroup again sometime here to see if it’s a fit.
"But said it has to be right for both sides, Odell wants to be a difference maker, to be determined if that can be here."
John Harbaugh confirmed that the Giants are still pursuing Odell Beckham Jr., but he remains a free agent.
Despite a workout and physical indicating progress, negotiations have stalled, leaving Beckham unsigned.
Beckham's status as a free agent affects the Giants' receiving options and overall team strategy as the NFL Draft approaches.

A reunion between the Giants and OBJ definitely makes sense.
Granted, Beckham certainly isn't the player he once was and is more of a depth piece at this point, but New York does need more of those at wide receiver, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Malik Nabers, who is recovering from a torn ACL and might not be ready by Week 1.
The Giants still have Darius Slayton and have brought in Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin in free agency, and Malachi Fields in the NFL Draft.
Beckham would provide a little extra insurance for the Giants, and the nostalgia of having him back with Big Blue would be a lot of fun, too.
