Kristaps Porzingis expressed frustration about his current season, likening it to 'walking in the desert' as he seeks to regain his health and performance. He remains hopeful for improvement and is focused on taking things day-by-day.
What do you expect that will look like? Porzingis: āHonestly, thatās the thing. It feels like Iāve been walking in the desert this season. Iām like, āCome on when am I going to get to when I need to get to?ā Right now, I think Iām making strides toward that. Obviously, we donāt know how far weāre going to get it. But I think if itās a shorter season, to have all of that summer to really get everything under control with these guys and be healthy, I think then I will (trails off). Iāll be humble and take it day-by-day. But I have a vision in my head that I think I want to get to. I want to be healthy for this group, or if Iām somewhere else.
