Kyle Hamilton says Trey Hendrickson will boost the Ravens pass rush

Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton said newly signed outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson is expected to have a major impact on Baltimore's defense, pointing to the way elite edge rushers affect both game plans and opportunities for teammates.

“I think [Trey Hendrickson] will sack the quarterback a lot, and I think he’s just going to continue being a great player. Obviously, I’ve never played against him one-on-one, but just watching from the sideline, disruptive edge rushers get paid so much for a reason. They impact the game so much, and [they] impact the offense and kind of strike fear into the offense’s playbook and really just kind of handicap it. And I think he’s one of those guys, and ‘rising tides raise all boats.’ So, the more attention he gets, the more one-on-ones Mike Green might have on the other side, and ‘Trav’ [NT Travis Jones] inside, and all those other guys can get to the quarterback, too. So it’s kind of a domino effect in that, but I’m definitely happy to have him.”

Hendrickson joins a Ravens pass rush group that also includes Mike Green and Travis Jones up front, with Baltimore expecting the unit's collective pressure to be a central part of the defensive identity heading into the 2026 season.

With Hendrickson anchoring the edge, Baltimore’s pass rush has the potential to become a defining strength of the defense. His presence should create favorable matchups across the front, allowing the entire unit to thrive as the Ravens look to generate consistent pressure and dictate games in 2026.
