Red Sox Triston Casas setback should all but guarantee his future in Boston doesn’t exist
Triston Casas's injury raises doubts about his future with the Red Sox.
The 2028 LA Olympics will offer more $28 tickets for locals, but demand is high. Approximately 1 million of these tickets will be available, though they are expected to sell out quickly.
Southern California residents have been frustrated with the rollout of tickets for the upcoming 2028 Olympics being held in Los Angeles.
Some tickets were sold for $28 to locals, but many of those who signed up to buy them have found those inexpensive tickets were long gone.
What was left were tickets in the hundreds and thousands, with prices reaching more than $5,500, as reported by Suhauna Hussain and Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Times.
Nguyen said in a story posted Wednesday that some $28 tickets remain, though they’re expected to be bought up quickly once they’re put on sale.
“There are roughly 1 million $28 tickets total. Divide those tickets to ensure they can be distributed over a number of drops and then divide each drop’s $28 tickets across multiple sports. It’s quickly resembling a small number of needles in a big haystack,” Nguyen wrote.

What Olympic sports are people most excited for?
There’s a huge amount of sports coming to LA, including American sports like lacrosse and flag football.
There also will be baseball, possibly including current MLB players.
Tickets for some of those high-profile events may be a bit pricier, though.
As Nguyen noted, “the 1 million $28 tickets are spread across every sport, but not every session.”
“So don’t expect $28 tickets for finals or knock out rounds to the most in-demand sports including women’s artistic gymnastics, basketball, swimming or track and field to be sold at all,” Nguyen wrote. “Cross your fingers, look for qualifying rounds, especially sports that have a lot of early pool matches such as 3×3 basketball or field hockey, and be open to exploring a new sport you’ve never heard of.”
