Coming into the new season, the Seattle Mariners have one of the better farm systems across MLB. They have Colt Emerson sitting as their top prospect, who was drafted 22nd overall in the 2023 MLB Draft.

However, he is not the only exciting prospect waiting in the wings. There is also LHP Kade Anderson, RHP Ryan Sloan, OF Lazaro Montes, and middle infielder Michael Arroyo.

So, this team knows just how important it is to make solid picks in the draft. And that will be the focus for the front office later this summer.

The Mariners will be selecting 24th overall in the first round of the 2026 MLB Draft. They will surely miss out on some good talent, but there will be plenty of options left when their team is on the clock.

According to Bleacher Report's Joel Retuer, he sees Seattle drafting Texas A&M outfielder Caden Sorrell in the first round.

"Sorrell is having a loud spring in College Station, hitting .379/.465/.856 with 17 home runs and 57 RBI in 33 games. He has 40 home runs in 121 games over three seasons for the Aggies, and aside from his obvious power, he also has 60-grade speed and a strong throwing arm that would fit well in right field."

Sorrell is having an excellent spring with the Aggies, which has helped his name climb up the draft boards. He is an all-around player who can hit for power, has good speed, and a strong arm out in the outfield.
