NASCAR qualifying order for Cup Series at Talladega in April 2026

The NASCAR Cup Series is set to arrive at Talladega Superspeedway for its 10th race of the 2026 season. It is the first of two dates at Talladega, as NASCAR also goes to the venue in October. In 2025, Zane Smith won the pole for the spring Cup Series race at Talladega, marking his first and final pole position during the season.

First, the Cup Series needs to qualify for the event in Talladega, and the qualifying format is simple. Every driver makes a single-lap run in the first round, which will determine the 10 competitors moving on to the final round. Then, those drivers will fight it out to set the top 10 spots. The metric system determines the qualifying order and groups.
