It's at least a little silly, but the NFL refuses to leave any cave unexplored in its quest to reach its tendrils into every facet of American life no matter the season. Thus, Thursday night's schedule reveal is a primetime event even though:
a) we already know who every team will play this year thanks to the league's guidelines, and
b) we're still four months away from these games actually being played.
In order to keep us engaged, the league has dropped little bits of cheese to help us through the schedule maze. A few rumored matchups, locations and dates have already leaked through insiders. On Wednesday, one day before the actual NFL schedule release because the league abhors a day where it doesn't claim at least a slice of the spotlight, this year's international games were officially unveiled.
