SAINT PAUL, MINN. (NORTHERN STATE) — The NSU baseball team hit the road to play a double-header against the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears Sunday. The Wolves dropped a close first game while game two of the day went into extra innings.

The Wolves started off slowly, putting up zeroes in the first five innings; conversely, the Golden Bears put up runs in four of the first five innings to go ahead 6-0
Northern State stormed back in the sixth, scoring five runs to cut their deficit to one
Another Northern run in the eighth tied the game up at 6 apiece; Casey Vining homered as the lead-off batter
The next (and winning) run of the game wasn’t until the bottom of the 14th inning when CSP’s Gus Berger was walked with bases loaded, bringing Jack Setterlund home
Since scoring their final run in the eighth inning, NSU left eight runners on base
