Now with Patriots, Romeo Doubs good with Packers as 2026 game awaits
As the Green Bay Packers await the release of the 2026 NFL schedule May 14, one thing they know already is that they'll visit New England to face the reigning AFC champion Patriots, a team that now employs former Packers receiver Romeo Doubs.
Doubs said he had no hard feelings against the Packers when asked Tuesday, May 12 about the matchup.
"Nah, man. Green Bay took care of me," he told reporters. "It wouldn't be a reason for me to have that type of pressure against them. My career started there. They taught me the foundation of football, how football works, situational football, just understanding complimentary football … just the overall game in general. They showed me the ropes in that area. And again, I do know that we played them this year, but no, it's not even like that."

Doubs signed a four-year, $68 million deal with New England in the offseason after four years in Green Bay, when he racked up 202 catches, 21 touchdowns and 2,424 receiving yards.
Doubs won't be the only recent ex-Packer on the schedule. Rashan Gary and Kenny Clark will return to Lambeau Field with Dallas, though ex-Cowboys star Micah Parsons, now with the Packers, will likely be the headliner of that tilt after playing in Dallas last year.
Former Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker will be back in town as a member of the Carolina Panthers, and Green Bay will travel to face the New York Jets and former defensive lineman Kingsley Enagbare.
