A new report indicates that an NXT prospect is being groomed to become a leading figure in WWE. This aligns with NXT's role in developing talent for the main roster.

A new report reveals the NXT prospect that is set to be positioned as a top player on the black-and-gold brand going forward.
NXT is to WWE what college sports are to leagues like the NFL, MLB, and NBA. Sure, there are veteran stars that compete for the brand, and established WWE stars occasionally appear on episodes of the show. However, NXT is and has always been a brand that develops performers who can become faces of the main roster for a decade.
Also, like college sports, there is a lot of turnover. The staff at the Performance Center develops new stars that graduate to the next level, and then they repeat the process with new talent. That is the case right now after NXT saw the departures of core stars Trick Williams, Oba Femi, and JeāVon Evans late last year.

In the weeks since, performers like Joe Hendry and new NXT champion Tony DāAngelo have been elevated to help fill those roles. Well, it looks like another black-and-gold star is set for a major push. According to BodySlam+, Keanu Carver is expected to get a significant push in the weeks and months ahead and could soon be set up as DāAngeloās first title challenger.
After a dominant run in WWE Evolve, Carver returned to the NXT brand in January and has continued his reign of terror. Emerging as one of the scariest heels on the roster right now. Being elevated into a title opportunity would fit the brandās recent storytelling for him as he continues to become a top NXT star.
