The 35-year-old brother of an Australian soccer star has been found dead following a 24-hour search.
Jaryd Dawson, brother of Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson, was last seen on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 14, according to 7News and News.com.au.
Jaryd's wife Jessica Dawson shared an Instagram post on Wednesday, April 15, stating her husband had been missing since about 2:30 p.m. local time the day prior, Channel Nine reported.
Later on Wednesday, Jarydâs body was found after crews spent hours searching near a lookout in the town of Robe where his car was located, according to the reports.
Jaryd lived in the remote town on the coast of South Australia, where he and his brother played soccer together at school, according to Channel Nine and News.com.au.
He and Jessica reportedly got married in 2024 and welcomed a baby boy in September 2025.
Jaryd was also the co-founder of boutique home building company Domus Design and Build, 7News reported, and previously played soccer for the Robe Roosters.
Jordan did not attend a training session with his team on Wednesday, according to News.com.au. His coach cited âpersonal reasonsâ for his absence.
South Australia police said Jarydâs death does not appear to be suspicious, according to 7News and Channel Nine.
