The Houston Texans will play a game overseas in the 2026 season. The Texans will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London's Wembley Stadium.
The excitement is palpable for a matchup that could almost certainly determine the AFC South division race. The Texans take on a Jaguars franchise that has played its fair share of games in London. It sets up for what could be a home field advantage for Jacksonville who might have picked up a following in London from all its trips to Wembley Stadium.
Heavy's Josh Buckhalter previewed the matchup between the two teams heading into a huge 2026 season for several Texans coaches and players. Here's some of what Buckhalter shared about the matchup between the AFC South heavyweights.
"The Texans have a 32-16 record against the Jaguars, including a nine-game win streak from the start of the 2018 season through the first matchup in 2022. Houston has won three of the last four meetings and is 4-2 under head coach DeMeco Ryans.
However, this game adds another factor that Ryans and the Texans must overcome if this matchup is indeed on the schedule. The Texans also have the edge over the Jaguars overseas. They won the only international matchup between the two teams 26-3 at Wembley in 2019.
This game shifts the locale and, possibly, the on-field advantage. The Texans are notably 15-9 on the road against the Jaguars since becoming an NFL franchise. That includes the Texansâ previous matchup against the Jaguars in London.
Their loss in Jacksonville during the 2025 regular seasonâwithout starting QB C.J. Stroud, who was sidelined due to a concussionâwas their first since 2017. Ryans and the Texans are surely hoping to get back to their winning ways over the Jaguars, who are trying to build on theirs."

Despite the Jaguars' apparent fondness for playing games overseas, Buckhalter notes that the Texans have had their number away from the U.S. It adds another wrinkle to the monumental matchup.
