Arman Tsarukyan and Urijah Faber collided into the crowd during their match at RAF08 in Philadelphia, prompting criticism of Tsarukyan's actions. The promotion condemned the incident, which could harm its reputation as it seeks to attract top talent.

Arman Tsarukyan got tired of waiting for another UFC title shot, so the No. 2-ranked lightweight contender joined Real American Freestyle (RAF) to keep himself busy while Justin Gaethje and Ilia Topuria unify the 155-pound titles at UFC White House this June in Washington, DC.
Like anything that involves Tsarukyan, it’s been a complete circus from day one.
The latest sideshow featured Tsarukyan and Urijah Faber flying into the crowd during their RAF08 showdown last weekend in Philadelphia. Nobody was hurt, but it was a bad look for a promotion that is trying to attract top collegiate talent and establish itself as a credible outlet for amateur wrestling.
So what happened?
“I don’t control myself so much so if something happens, it’s not like I was thinking about [throwing him off the stage],” Tsarukyan said at the RAF08 press conference. “Something that happened from my mind. It comes right away. Thank god, Urijah didn’t get hurt and we went viral. We need that.”
The collision occurred during their match at RAF08, where both fighters fell into the audience.
The promotion condemned Tsarukyan's actions, labeling them as 'dirty' and detrimental to its credibility.
The incident could negatively impact the promotion's efforts to attract top collegiate talent and establish itself in amateur wrestling.

RAF executive Izzy Martinez was not amused.
“I don’t like it,” Martinez said. “You might as well punch him so he can protect himself. Pushing a guy off the stage is pretty dirty to me and I’m not a big fan of that. I didn’t like it on my end, even though it was viral. But I don’t have to like everything. I’ve learned that. It’s a promotional thing and it is what it is.”
Faber praised Tsarukyan for his talent but condemned his lack of self control.
“He’s got all the makings of a champion,” Faber wrote on Instagram. “Except for self control. Spoiled kid for life. Congrats Arman, too much cushion for a hospital visit.”
