The Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week for the Petoskey-area is back for the spring sports season!
All results for this week's poll come from Monday, April 13 through Sunday, April 19 from Emmet and Charlevoix Counties.
Congratulations to Harbor Springs track and field standout Grant Corlew who earned the first Athlete of the Week honor for the spring of 2026.
Corlew, a sophomore, followed up a great cross country season in the fall with a great start to distance running in the spring. He earned the honor behind 42.2% of the vote last week. Harbor freshman Maeve Riley was then second in the voting.
Vote for these athletes from Monday, April 20 to 4 p.m., Thursday, April 23. Look for another Moore Mechanical Athlete of the Week from the Petoskey-area next week.

Pool hit a home run and scored three runs in a loss against Kingsley, then turned in a 3-for-3 game with another homer, two doubles, two runs and three more RBIs in a victory over the Stags Friday.
Lemieur was special on the mound in two starts last week, combining for 10 innings, four hits allowed, zero runs and 17 strikeouts in starts against Onaway and Glen Lake. He also went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs vs. Glen Lake.
Bailey already owned the school record in the pole vault and raised the bar once again when she beat the mark by six inches. She cleared 11-feet, 6-inches in Cadillac, besting her previous mark of 11-feet.
Currie set a program record for wins last week with 31, then later grabbed win No. 32 for his career. The record-setter came in relief, then he added five innings with one hit allowed and five strikeouts vs. Kent City Algoma Christian. He was also 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the game.

Grogan twice delivered PRs last week. He threw 47-feet, 10-inches in the shot in a Northern Shores meet, then threw 48-feet, 9-inches in Cadillac for another new PR. He also threw a new PR in the discus at 128-feet, 2-inches.
Ward helped contribute to a pair of Big North shutouts on the pitch last week, leading the backline charge to keep Petoskey soccer unbeaten at 3-0 on the season.
In a pair of wins over Pickford-Maplewood Baptist, Bush sent out a pair of home runs and totaled six RBIs in the victories.
