In addition to looking for needle-moving superstars to pair with Stephen Curry in the Bay, the Golden State Warriors should also search for underrated role players who would mesh well with the organizationâs three-point-oriented system.
According to Blue Man Hoopâs Peter OâKeefe, a 27-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder NBA champion guard should be a trade target for the Dubs this summer.
âAaron Wiggins would be a viable rotation player with Golden State.â OâKeefe wrote Tuesday. âAfter losing Moses Moody to a devastating torn patellar tendon injury, the Warriors need to add wing depth and could certainly utilize a player like Wiggins as a similar size and type.â

âThe 27-year-old averaged 9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists this season, while posting a career-high 12.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists the year before.â
âJust as importantly, Wiggins is a career 38% 3-point shooter on decent volume in limited minutes, something Golden State need after ranking only 20th in 3-point percentage during the regular season.â
There's no question that Wiggins deserved the five-year, $45 million deal he inked with the Thunder in 2024. The Maryland product has been a formidable three-point shooting threat for the majority of his NBA career.
Wigginsâ high-level perimeter play (he shot 38.3% from deep) helped the Thunder secure their first-ever title in 2025.
Although the 27-year-old is having a down shooting season this year (35.6%) and hasnât contributed much in the postseason, he would be among the best floor-spacing trade options for the Dubs this offseason.
