White Sox find an unlikely home run hero from their backup catcher

Romo was able to hit the first home run of his career on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Angels, but it didn't end there. He hit another home run in his next at-bat and then hit his third of the season on Sunday against the San Diego Padres.

He was big for the club last week, helping them sweep the Angels and then winning the series 2-1 against the Padres. With this, Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller has bumped the South Siders from No. 27 last week to No. 21 in his latest power rankings.

"Chicago's wholly unexpected leading slugger of the week was Drew Romo. Called up just 10 days ago to take what had been Reese McGuire's roster spot as the backup catcher, Romo entered the week with zero home runs in his 61 plate appearances in the majors. Nevertheless, he homered in back-to-back ABs in Tuesday's win over the Angels and hit a third one on Sunday against the Padres."

The White Sox have a great opportunity to keep this thing going into this week with a series over the Angels again, starting on Monday. While they have had a bit of a rocky start, this is still a group that opposing teams cannot overlook.
