Wisconsin guard Nick Boyd has climbed from No. 92 to No. 84 on ESPN's NBA draft big board after a strong combine performance. He is currently projected as the No. 60 overall pick by the Washington Wizards for the 2026 NBA Draft.
Former Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball guard Nick Boyd is doing all he can to be selected in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Back on April 30, Boyd was listed as Jeremy Woo's No. 92-ranked player in the ESPN NBA draft big board.
Now, just two weeks later, he's risen to No. 84. Seeing as Boyd is the oldest player in the Top 100, that's quite a significant jump, though it's more than justified.
Boyd was recently projected to be the No. 60 overall pick by the Washington Wizards. Knowing there are only 60 selections in each NBA Draft, that shows just how on the bubble he truly is.
Fresh off a great 3/4 court sprint showing in Chicago, Boyd knows his time of 3.07 seconds is good enough to compete with the best. Ultimately, he was tied for second and in the same conversation as Kingston Flemings (No. 7), Maliq Brown (No. 64), and Jacob Cofie (No. 72).
Not only was his sprint impressive, but Boyd dropped 23 points and had eight assists in the second game of the NBA draft combine. In total, he shot 9-20 from the field, including 3-9 from three-point range, but made just two of his six free throws.
Unlike John Blackwell, Boyd has a ton of attention on him for all the right reasons. With the draft just over a month out, there's still plenty of time, and ultimately, anything can happen.
Nick Boyd is currently ranked No. 84 on ESPN's NBA draft big board.
Nick Boyd is projected to be selected by the Washington Wizards as the No. 60 overall pick.
Nick Boyd's draft stock has improved significantly, rising from No. 92 to No. 84 in just two weeks.
