They were supposed to solve what had been a brutal position for them. Instead, it hasn't worked.
Ryan McMahon has been brutal, and this week, the Yankees also got a reminder of the guy they sent away.
Oswald Peraza plays for the Los Angeles Angels now, and he had a great series at Yankee Stadium.
That included both a home run and a double off of Max Fried on Thursday in the series finale.

That's pretty brutal no matter how you slice it.
McMahon has started to play less, as Amed Rosario has played more and the Yankees have moved some guys around.

Peraza may not keep it going like this, but the Yankees would take production like that for sure.
