Arsenal's Mikel Arteta provides triple injury update ahead of Premier League game against Fulham

Arteta said of the duo, via football.london: "Kai and Jurrien will be out" before also adding that he did not believe the club had picked up any fresh fitness issues following their midweek 1-1 UEFA Champions League semi-final draw at Atletico Madrid.

He added: "I think so [no fresh injury problems], let's see how everyone is tomorrow morning. We haven't been able to train much."

Uncertainty also surrounds captain Martin Odegaard's availability, after he was substituted during the second half at the Metropolitano.

When asked if he'll be ready to feature this weekend, Arteta said: "Let's see."

The Norwegian has been troubled by a knee problem, initially picked up in the 1-1 draw at Brentford in February, throughout recent months.

He has experienced multiple periods on the treatment table but has returned to the starting lineup in recent weeks as he attempts to help the Gunners secure silverware in both the Premier League and Champions League.

Arteta's remarks seem to indicate the Norwegian's availability for Saturday's Emirates Stadium clash with Marco Silva's team is uncertain.

Bukayo Saka, meanwhile, made his second consecutive substitute appearance in Spain, while Riccardo Calafiori returned to the bench following his recent injury setback.

Timber is understood to be nearing a comeback from his groin problem, though he has now been sidelined for more than seven weeks with the issue.

Havertz's groin concern is not thought to be as serious as first anticipated, and he may still feature before Arsenal's season concludes. Mikel Merino could also make his return in the upcoming weeks after undergoing foot surgery.
