The Arizona Cardinals had seven draft picks in the 2026 NFL Draft and then followed it up with seven undrafted free agents.
Over the next couple of days we will take a look at each of undrafted free agents to get to know them a bit, but also so they get their chance to show what they’ve done to get here.
Next up today is Minnesota Golden Gophers tight end Jameson Geers.
From the team:
Jameson Geers(6-5, 250) played five seasons at the University of Minnesota and appeared in 46 games, finishing his collegiate career with 58 receptions for 518 yards and nine touchdowns. Last season, he earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors after appearing in 13 games and catching 26 receptions for 206 yards and four touchdowns. As a junior in 2024, Geers had 28 receptions for 290 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games (nine starts). Geers also earned academic All-Big Ten accolades in four consecutive seasons (2022-25).
Geers moved from a lean, pass catching tight end who was a more complete player who could be used as a two-way tight end as both in the passing game and the run game, and that ascension in the run game really assisted in his growth as a player, allowing him to be someone that could find work and potentially contribute to an NFL team.
Welcome to the desert, Jameson and good luck.
